
Bougainville is slowly emerging from the devastating 10 year period of the conflict that arose from troubles centred on the massive Panguna Copper Mine. This small Eco resort concept reflects the new growing optimism that is evolving from the impending establishment of a new Government.

Kieta 1915 and the original Governor's Residence

Japanese WWII Fighter aircraft. The Island was the location of intense fighting between Japanese and Allied forces in WWII.
The proposed site is a headland which was the site of the original Governor's residence overlooking Kieta Harbour.
The resort will be fully self sufficient in terms of water management and power.
